Manningham missed his third practice in a row on Friday as
he continues to recover from his shoulder injury. Over the 11 games he’s played
in this season the wide receiver has caught 41 passes for 449 yards and one
touchdown for the 49ers.
Manningham’s injury is likely to result in San Francisco
activating first-round draft pick A.J. Jenkins. While the rookie wide receiver
could see his first action of the season, veterans such as Michael Crabtree,
Vernon Davis and Randy Moss are expected to see a share of the targets that
otherwise would have been sent Manningham’s way.
