Giants Injury Report: Ahmad Bradshaw, Kenny Phillips, Hakeem Nicks

New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw and safety Kenny Phillips are among the players that have been ruled out for this weekend’s contest against the Atlanta Falcons, while wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and defensive lineman Jason Pierre-Paul are expected to suit up.

Coach Tom Coughlin told reporters yesterday that sitting Bradshaw was the “only wise move.”

"It would have been a reach for him to be ready," Coughlin said. "With someone like that, his constitution, you have to give him every benefit of the doubt. I’m sure he’d be disappointed right now. He thinks come game day it’s all going to straighten out for him. In this case, it’s, medically, really the only wise move."

Running back David Wilson will get the start in place of Bradshaw. There may not be much of a drop off, if there is one at all, as Wilson tallied a franchise-record 327 yards of total offense last weekend against the New Orleans Saints.

Beyond Bradshaw and Phillips, cornerback Prince Amukamara (hamstring) and safety Tyler Sash (hamstring) have been ruled out. Linebacker Michael Boley is questionable to play due to a back injury, while everyone else on the Giants injury report is probable to suit up.
