New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and safety Kenny
Phillips each missed practice Thursday due to knee injuries, while linebacker
Jacquian Williams, who’s been out since Oct., suited up for the second day in a
row.

Nicks didn’t appear on the team’s initial injury report and
was able to practice Wednesday. However, the wide receiver was dealing with
swelling in his knee, something that’s hampered him throughout the season, and
he did not practice Thursday. Coach Tom Coughlin didn’t offer many details
other than to say he’s hopeful the swelling subsides.
"It's always a concern," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said. "But hopefully it will subside and he'll be ready to go."
Phillips is also sore, according to Coughlin. The safety
played last week and didn’t suffer a setback. The soreness is just something
Phillips is “dealing with,” so it remains to be seen what his availability will
be like this weekend when the Giants take on the New Orleans Saints.
Williams has been out since Oct. 14 but was able to practice
at a limited capacity for the second day in a row Thursday. He’s poised to make
his return against the Saints.
