It appears the New England Patriots are set to head into
another week with a ton of players listed as questionable on their injury
report as tight end Aaron Hernandez and wide receiver Wes Welker have been
limited at practice this week, while tight end Rob Gronkowski, who was reportedly
on the verge of returning to practice this week, hasn’t been able to suit up
due to his forearm injury.

Last weekend the Patriots entered their contest against the
Houston Texans with 13 players listed as questionable. Most of the key starters
on the list, including Hernandez and Welker, were able to play.
This week New England has their normal long injury report,
but they have 17 players that have been limited throughout the week. Beyond
Hernandez and Welker, who are both listed with ankle injuries, safety Patrick
Chung (shoulder/hamstring), linebackers Dont’a Hightower (hamstring) and
Brandon Spikes (knee/ankle) and cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) have all been
limited this week.
Gronkowski hasn’t practiced yet this week, but we’ll see if
he’s able to suit up today and make a case for starting against the San
Francisco 49ers.
