Vikings Injury Report: Chiristian Ponder Out

Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback Christian Ponder will not play tonight vs. the Green Bay Packers, reports Kevin Seifert of ESPN.

"The Minnesota Vikings' quarter back is dealing with elbow bursitis -- a buildup of fluid.", reports Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN
Ponder's status was known as "questionable" coming into the day, but now the Vikings have made it official by placing Ponder on the inactive list.

As it stands right now, Joe Webb will start at quarterback for the Vikes.

Webb is a third-year pro and has made an appearance in 17 games. In those 17 games, Webb has completed 88 passes on 152 attempts, racked up 853 yards passing, while rushing for 273 yards and 4 touchdowns.

It is obvious that the Vikings will try to be as cautious as they can with the inexperienced backup. Heck, they're cautious with Ponder, and he's the starter. It's safe to say Adrian Peterson will see an increase in carries tonight. They're going to give the ball to AP, and they're going to give it to him a lot -- they'll probably give him 35+ carries.
