Ryan later confirmed his dismissal with ESPN Dallas, adding
that he’ll “be out of work for like five minutes.”
Classic Ryan.
Ryan told reporters that he was fired by Cowboys head coach
Jason Garrett via a phone call. Dallas owner and general manager Jerry Jones
hinted that changes were coming following their disappointing loss to the
Washington Redskins at the end of the regular season. However, Jones proceeded
to back quarterback Tony Romo and Garrett, two candidates to be removed.
Instead, Jones appears to have been talking about Ryan and there could be more
changes in Dallas to come.
Glazer added that Ryan will not join his twin brother Rex
and the New York Jets. He’d certainly fit right in.
