With K Steven Hauschka questionable, Seahawks bringing in Ryan Longwell, Neil Rackers and other kickers for tryouts
— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) January 7, 2013
Hauschka injured his calf during Sunday night’s game, which
limited him to extra points and field goals, while punter Jon Ryan took over
kickoff duties. At one point it appeared Ryan could take over as kicker, as he
was practicing for field goals on the sidelines, but Hauschka remained in the
game.
In case Hauschka is unable to suit up against the Falcons,
the Seahawks are set to work out several kickers as possible replacements.
Among the group of kickers Seattle will try out are Ryan Longwell and Neil
Rackers.
Hauschka made 24 of his 27 attempted field goals this season
while going 46-of-48 on extra points. He’s known for his booming foot that has
proven valuable on kickoffs.
