The Minnesota Vikings have listed quarterback Christian
Ponder and cornerback Antoine Winfield as questionable to play today during the
team’s rematch against the Green Bay Packers, reports Josh Alper of Pro
Football Talk.
Quarterback Christian Ponder and cornerback Antoine Winfield have both been given the 50/50 designation by the team on Friday.
Ponder has been limited throughout the week due to sorenessin his throwing elbow. He sustained his injury last weekend against the Packers
during a hit by safety Morgan Burnett. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has said
throughout the week that he expects Ponder to be healthy enough to play against
Green Bay.
Winfield left the Vikings regular season finale after
aggravating his broken right hand. This week he will suit up with a cast on his
hand in an effort to play through the injury.
It appears that both players will be able to suit up for the
game today, but it’s not clear how their injuries will impact their
performance.
