There has been recent speculation surrounding New York Jets
All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis and a trade involving the San Francisco
49ers. While it doesn’t appear this deal will happen, Revis recently said it
would be “awesome” to join the 49ers.

During an interview with Michael Robinson of “The Real Rob
Report,” Revis said he’d be glad to be an addition to help San Francisco “win
that trophy.”
"My main goal as a player, and I think all of us as players in the NFL, is to hold that Lombardi Trophy up in the air and wear that ring. They are definitely a contender and they will be a contender for the next couple of years."
Revis is continuing to recover from knee surgery. He hasn’t been happy with the reports of New York’s potential interest in trading him. He
told Robinson that being shopped “really hits home,” especially since he’s “one
of the best players out there.”
The Jets continue to say they haven’t shopped Revis and want
him back in the fold for 2013 and beyond. It doesn’t appear that the cornerback
believes this, and it will be interesting to see how this drama ends.
